"Like a skint rabbit!"

The last who I spoke with at the salon today was quite miserable. No smile at all. It was said that I had not turned up with the dog last month - whereas actually I had no date in my diary for it. She complained that whilst my dog's body was okay- his legs had some knots in the fur. I apologised, saying that we had tried to keep his legs free of knots but obviously had not been able to do so. In any case that is why we bring to professionals! She then bluntly said "Well what do you want us to do ?" I would have thought it obvious! When I went to collect him 2 hours later - he was like a skint rabbit! Even Shaun the sheep would not have recognised him. They had clearly just used the electric clippers all over his body! You can see the colour of his skin underneath! Earlier I had watched what they were doing to another small dog. This is not "grooming"! It is a version of sheep shearing! I will not allow my dog to suffer like this again. On a previous occasion they sheared so close to his back passage that it was raw for days! They need to advertise that they are dog "shearers" and not groomers!.
