"Fence Panels Don't Match the Posts??"

Bought some goldn brown fence panels from Challenge and asked for some posts to match for a garden design project. "Don't worry Sir we have those at our other branch but will get them over for you." Everything arrived and posts are a completely different dark brown stain. Asked Alan the manager to rectify and his first comment was "The guy on the sales desk has been here a long time and I cannot believe he would tell you that". His second comment was "A lot of people are happy with the posts being a different colour". His third comment was "If you had wanted them to match you should have bought the green ones".
